Air Philippines

Air Philippines is the third largest domestic carrier in the Philippines. Founded in 1993 by The Wellex Group Chairman, William T. Gatchalian, Air Philippines started operations in February 1996 with B737-200 flights to Subic, Iloilo and Zamboanga. At present, it has 8 Boeing 737-200 aircrafts with flights to 12 major destinations in the Philippines from its hubs in Manila and Cebu. It also operates regular charter flights to points in Korea.

Having breached the one-million mark in passengers carried in 2007, Air Philippines is pursuing expansion by acquiring up to 6 brand new Bombardier Q300 turbo-prop aircrafts, with 3 units, valued at USD 56 million, already ordered.

Metro Alliance Holdings and Equities Corporation (MAH)

Metro Alliance Holdings and Equities Corporation is one of six publicly listed companies affiliated to The Wellex Group. It holds majority interest in CPDSI, a leading distributor of petrochemical products in the Philippines; and in the logistics firm, GACL, which is a joint venture with the Middle East shipping giant, Gulf Agency Company. MAH also has 40% stake in the mammoth petrochemical producer, NPC Alliance Corporation.


Consumer Products Distribution Services Inc. (CPDSI)

CPDSI is one of the largest distributors of specialty chemicals and petrochemicals in the Philippines. Its global network of suppliers assures the company’s dominance in the market and provides growth opportunities with the possibility of a more diversified product line.


GAC Logistics, Inc. (GACL)

GAC Logistics, Inc. is an ISO-certified third-party logistics and supply management firm, jointly owned by the Metro Alliance Holdings and Equities Corporation and the global shipping giant, Gulf Agency Company. Established in 1997, GAC Logistics is part of the GAC Group, a global shipping, logistics and marine services provider in nearly 300 countries worldwide.

GAC Logistics has an extensive track record in providing supply chain solutions to meet the complex logistics needs of major companies in the Philippines such as Johnson & Johnson, 3M, and Philip Morris. With its warehousing and distribution facilities (24/7 customer support and modern IT capabilities), coupled with foreign forwarding capabilities (C-TPAT network and US Customs AMS regulation compliant), GAC Logistics offers a truly one-stop shop options for all logistics and shipping needs.

Oil Exploration

Wellex Petroleum, Inc.

Wellex Petroleum is the oil exploration and petroleum trading arm of The Wellex Group. As a major contributor in the Philippine government’s efforts to develop the country’s oil and gas resources, Wellex Petroleum is geared to explore and identify areas for the future sustainability of the country. The group also plans to import, much-needed, petroleum and related products into the country.

Recent activities include the signing of a joint venture partnership with Southern Petrochemical Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of SINOPEC, the largest petroleum company in China, for the eventual exploration of five offshore and onshore sites in the Palawan, Sulu and Mindoro sea.


Forum Pacific, Inc.

Forum Pacific (formerly Cophil Exploration) is engaged in scientific and geological research for energy (geothermal and coal), oil, and natural gas. A listed company in the Philippine Stock Exchange, Forum Pacific has previously operated service contracts in Manila Bay and in Central Visayas, and has drilled six on-shore wells in Northern Cebu using its own Hycalog onshore rig.

The company holds two very important distinctions: Forum Pacific discovered the Libertad Gas Field and was the first Filipino company to purchase and operate a semi-submersible rig in the Philippines.
